FINDING THAT MOMENT IS SPECIALTY.
Legacy is an old-fashioned word, but as someone who loves connecting to the past, it is a word that means a lot to me. Photography has a gift for connecting who we once were to who we are becoming. And that is what legacy is...honoring the memories which shape us while reaching toward new beginnings with those we love most by our side.
I am sentimental and nostalgic, and we should probably get this out of the way and let you know that I am going to cry at your wedding. It could be when your dad walks you down the aisle, or it may happen when your mother is adjusting your veil, but there will be tears. Don’t worry, I’ve learned how to keep photographing through the emotions, but I just can’t help myself. My heart is moved by relationships and moments that only happen once in a lifetime.
The best days are ones spent traveling and adventuring with them. I love a beach day(or better yet a beach week!) especially with a good book to keep me company. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day, because who doesn’t love pancakes? But I will never turn down a slice of authentic New York pizza (with extra pepperoni please!)
My love for photography and travel has taken me from the windy Irish Cliffs of Moher to the warm, sunkissed beaches of Hawaii. Regardless of the beauty I encounter on my travels, nothing makes my heart beat faster than capturing people living their lives fully with the people they love most. Laughing, playing, genuine connection. That’s the good stuff. That’s what legacies are made of.

My husband is as funny as he is handsome. We met in Canada at Niagara Falls. Sounds romantic right? But this wasn’t some vacation romance. Truth is, we met just a short 20-minute drive from where we both grew up in Buffalo, NY! Add on our three amazing kiddos and each day is a blessing!

I will always choose to chat on the phone over text when given the chance. Does that make me a Chatty Cathi?

On the Blog
My grandparents raised me. I have the marriage and family I have today because of their legacy of love and commitment to each other.
My passion for photography began in high school. I probably didn’t make the connection at the time but I was only 18 when I lost my grandparents. Suddenly photographs had a deeper meaning to me. These two loving, hardworking, generous people were the most important relationship I had in my life. Memories fade no matter how hard you try to hold on to them, but the photos I have of my Grandma & Grandpa, have kept their values and examples of love alive for me.
When you are raised with a love like that, you can’t help but want to share it with others as well. I don’t just take photos for you. I take photos for the generations to come so that one day, your grandchildren can hold those photos knowing they come from a long legacy of love.
